In 2009 I paid a for a couple training sessions for 2 young girls. The training taught them to make paper beads and other jewelry. Paying the young girls fairly for their work, I purchased the products. I mark the products up a small amount and sell them in the US at craft sales. This year with the savings from the project and with a small investment from me ; the young girls opened a retail business in their village.
They have been in business for a little over a month. they are earning enough to pay the rent for the retail business, pay their taxes and earn an income.
